Leisure Fitness is the brainchild of Silver Spring native Katina Geralis. After graduating from the University of Delaware with a degree in physical education studies, Geralis worked in fitness sales for several years before starting the company in her garage in 1995. Her vision was to provide the public with quality fitness equipment and, most importantly, excellent service.

From those humble beginnings, Geralis has taken Leisure Fitness to new heights as a woman-owned business in a male-dominated industry. The company continues to be the nation’s top dealer in Precor, Bowflex, and Nautilus fitness equipment. Leisure Fitness is the only fitness equipment dealer in the Mid-Atlantic region to stock 13 of Consumer Reports’ top-rated fitness products.

Leisure Fitness sells both home and commercial fitness equipment, as well as recently adding hot tubs and swim spas to their product line. In addition to the company’s seventeen retail stores, Leisure Fitness maintains a commercial sales force throughout New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.
